She was the author of more than 90 novels (including Wolf Tower and The Flat Earth series), 300 short stories (such as 'When the Clock Strikes,' from the collection Red as Blood), a childrens picture book (Animal Castle), and many poems.

She simply needs to illustrate every fairy tale ever! This beauty was published in 2012 by Harper Design, (obviously) illustrated by Camille Rose Garciawith jacket design by Roberto de Vicq de Cumptich. Tanith Lee (1947❲015) was a British writer of science fiction, horror, and fantasy. Her books include the Tales from the Flat Earth series and The Birthgrave Trilogy for adults, and The Claidi Journals.

Not only is the artwork fabulous, but I love the overall layout of the pages and the typography as well. Tanith Lee has won multiple World Fantasy Awards, including the 2013 World Fantasy Award Life Time Achievement Award, and she was the first woman to win the August Derleth Award, which she received for her novel Death's Master. Oh the divine artist that is Camille Rose Garcia! Longtime readers may recall my Judging Post on her edition of Alice in Wonderland – now here’s Snow White! The insipid, cabin-dwelling, chore-loving princess is brought to a creepy new light with this awesomely designed edition. If book covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t put out so many beautiful editions!

I can’t say that I’ve ever decided against a book with terrible cover art if I liked the sound of the plot, but I have purchased special editions of books or multiple editions of books based on their cover art.
